Joe,
All of the orders are being processed in the order they were received. As you have already determined, this process is taking longer than expected. I am shipping 4-5 lids every week or so...sometimes longer. I can tell you that your lid is at the embroidery stage. I will email you when it is close to being finished.
Sorry I don't have more for you.

Hi Scott/Wes,
I received both my new trunk liners today from DHL. I opened it up to look at them and I dont think the stitching is right on the letters. I have two breaks/black lines at a 40 degree angle through most of my letters on both trunk liners. It looks like the machine had some kind of stitching problem. They are not that bad but noticeable and does not look clean. I really dont think they are supposed to look like this. What do you guys suggest? Was their a problem with the stitching machine?
Let me know what you guys think. I am not really happy since I had to wait so long and now they show up and dont look good. :bigcry: The flags look great and dont have any lines through the silver.
Pls. send me an email and let me know.

Its due to the size of the artwork and yes, the machine does miss a few since these have over 50,000 stitches in them. I sent you a PM with more info on this issue.

Help!
Need to adjust the trunk lid torsion bars to handle the increased weight of the trunk lid liner. Have installed 2 lids and am worried about decapitating me and my wife! Can anyone tell me how to adjust the bars? Appreciate it.
Thanks,

There is a tool that slips over the end of the torsion bars and allows you to move it up a notch to increase the tension.
I have NOT been able to find this tool.
I have asked my dealership about the tool and they don't have one.
They told me to ask a body shop.
I haven't had the time to start looking into body shops.
Someone else made a suggestion to be to use an old Serpentine belt to lift the bar to the next notch.
They also said I should wear eye and hand protection when doing this.
A third person suggested using a thin pipe on the end of the torsion bar.
Sorry I don't have any more info than this...

you could always use a Marauder trunk lid prop rod.

WTF is this ?
Hmmmm, has anyone else had a problem with increased weight on the trunk lid? I received my liner awhile back, and it looks great, but I haven't gotten around to putting it in yet.

MENINBLK,
Thank you for your suggestion. I figured thwere must be a 'tool' for this adjustment, because I could NOT move either bar with just my hands & fingers. I'll check with my dealer.
I'll let everyone know what I find out.

I just looked at my bars and the driver is in the middle hole and the pass is in the bottom hole. If you take a wrench like a 1/2 or 9/16 you can slip the box end of it over the end like you would if you were bending a pipe or tube and you that to get the leverage to move it up a hole or down.

WTF is this ?
Some people call it a golf club. ;)
But seriously, I've seen people use a rod to prop up their open trunk lid.
I think txmarauder is right about moving the torsion rods in the adjustment notches. You may find that's just how the dealerships/body shops do it. Carefully of course.

Wow-you guys have been waiting for a while and I was considering an order. how long did they say is the waiting period???
It might have something to do with which logo or colors you order. I got mine several months ago after only a short wait. I know that Wes has always been good about delivery on anything that he has offered for sale.

The best tool I've found to adjust the trunk tension is a 10 or 11mm deep socket on a 6" long 3/8 drive extension. Slide it over the end and CAREFULLY move it to the next notch. This setup will not twist like a wrench will.

CORRECTION! There is not enough clearance to the trunk floor w/the extension but I tried it w/ a 3/8 ratchet and a 10mm deep socket and it worked.
Just looking for an ETA. Ordered a trunk liner April 20. Nothing yet - August 30. Two PM's to Wes. No updates. I know about production delays, but just wondering EXACTLY how long does it take to make one of these?

Scott has decided to shut production down on trunk lids until further notice, due to some supplier issues that he has had arise. If any of you have placed an order and paid already, I do apologize, please PM me and I will refund your credit card. IF you ordered and I did NOT charge your card, let me know as well and I will be clearing your info out of the system.
I do apologize for the holdup on these, and I beleive everyone that was in the group buy has been taken care of.
I will also be removing the liners off of my website.
