I'm new to the Marauder fold, and from reading a few of these forum posts I can already tell I have a lot to learn. Is there some kind of beginner's guide to the Marauder somewhere on this site? I don't even know what the difference is between a 300A and a 300B. Apparently those numbers are not referring to Chryslers of the mid-1950's.

Bob,

Welcome to the best site on the web. Most info is available by just clicking on the search button on the top of the banner and typing in what you are looking for. There are plenty of threads that address your question, but I pulled this from one I had seen before:

Only '03s have a 300B version...all '04s are 300A...

The primary differences between 300As and 300Bs are what the 'Bs DON'T have:

Full-size spare
Automatic parking brake release
Electric fuel door release
Stand-alone clock
Metal rear speaker grilles

What 300Bs DO have that 300As don't:

Traction control
Heated seat option

'04 300As are just like '03 300Bs...

During the change-over from A to B, some Bs got some of the 300A options, so you may find a 300B with a full-size spare (for example)...

What he said. If you plan on mods, 4.10s and a cold air intake of some sort..K&N is expensive, but thats what I've got and I love it, and JLT is a vendor on the board and his kit is also very nice and of high quality for a lower price. If you do 4.10 rear end gears you will need a programmer such as SCT or Diablosport, that is a topic you'll have to search on as this has caused too many wars. Please refrain from posting about S/C and what oil you want to use (SEARCH) Although we have not had an oil war in a long time, maybe we're due

WELCOME!
