i was planning to replace my stock brakes with power slot rotors and hawk pads, but i was looking online for install tips and all i could find was a 99 vic which had pins in the front rotor which had to be drilled out and broken off... do we have the same set up??

Some of us have purchased complete upgrade kits, like those from Baer and PBR, which are oversized. Still others have upgraded just pads and rotors within stock specs. I have not heard anyone express any concern for "pins" or describe any complications in the upgrade. OTOH, I am not a brake specialist, but a JAFO. If you don't get a better answer here, drop by a few local brake shops in your area?

I didn't have to do any such thing. I just removed the calipers and bracket. After that, there are retainers on the studs that need to be removed. Then the rotor just pulls out. I can't imagine the Marauder be all that different even though the system is slightly different. I've seen my friend change brakes on several other type of cars and that process doesn't even sound familiar.

I believe that there is. Pull off on of the front tires and check. If there are pop rivits, you will have the drill them out. If the install pin is still in the rivit, then it wil have to pushed through using a punch and a hammer. Keep us posted.

I did recall seeing rivits on the front rotors but I couldn't tell you which year vehicle. It could've been the 98-02 style. It is more of a nuisance than practicle anyway.

Just put the TCE big brake kit on my car week before last. There are no pins in the rotors. The only thing I can think they may be referring to are the rivets that hold the dust shield in place. I just drilled them out and threw the dust shields in the scrap bin.

I've got this setup....I don't know if it's the PowerSlot rotors, or the Hawk pads, or the interaction of the two, but my car squeals like a stuck pig (or like a Deuce and 1/2...pick your metaphor) and has ever since I put that brake setup on there. Trips to the dealer that installed the rig haven't proven anything...nothing seems to be wrong. Only telltale sign that something might be off is that ever since the install, the brake pedal's been "softer"; I almost feel like I've got to pump up the brake pressure. I don't think the kid who put the brakes on at the shop actually bled 'em after install, and my theory (I SAID "THEORY", FOLKS) is that the contacting surfaces might not be making full contact, just sorta kissin' each other. When I pump the brakes slightly, the pedal "tightens" up and the squealing goes away. I dunno....I've put up with it for about 8k miles now, but I'm gonna get it fixed before putting the Hulk on the shipping train...

Marauders have no pins holding the rotors on. A 99 GM or CV will have pins.

Based on your description I'd agree with you that bleeding your brakes couldn't hurt. At the absolute worst you waste a little brake fluid (consider it a flush) and it doesn't help. But even with stock calipers your brake pedal should be harder than what you describe.
I get a little 'grunt' out of my HPS pads when I'm stopped, foot on the pedal and I put it in gear. I guess I could really grind the pedal down to hold the car firmer, but I don't like to do that, generally. When I'm driving and come to a stop normally I don't hear anything out of my pads. They're still pretty new, though, so that might change.
Anyway... if you have the time it certainly couldn't hurt you to try bleeding your brakes. Just for peace of mind if nothing else.
