I located this website today and discovered some 2003-2004 Marauder 1/18 diecast cars. As I check out the web site, I noticed that some of the models are marked, “SOLD.” I emailed the owner and asked him if any of the other Marauder models are for sale. If any of them are, I will keep everybody posted.

Although they do look nice, kinda, they aren't to spec so I would not purchase one...

Can he custom make a famed white Marauder? Ask him if he's got any with a S/C installed? widened rims, perhaps a Kooks system.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I payed out $100 for the 1/18th scale Marauder in black with somewhat close to stock Rims. WHAT A POS!! First off, Its a Crown Vic Police Car he modified to be a Marauder! The Tires and rims stick out almost a full 1/2 inch from the wheel wells! The Mercury Emblems which hes so proud of, Are little silver decals that he colored the Waterfalls in with a BIC PEN!!!!, He then painted the top half of the Amber turn signals silver and then once again, Got out his Trusty BIC PEN and drew in the lines!!. The interior is AWFUL. Its not even close!, The Center console is the police computer and radio the Crown Vic had except, He Glued Some sorry excuse for a shift handle on it to make it a Console shift! Open the Trunk and WOW! Police Computer, toolbox and SPIKE STRIPS!!!! Hmmmm Option ovelooked when buying Marauder?? I think not! Just when you thought the disappointment couldnt get any worse, Open the hood and find the 4.6 2V Engine with the Plastic Valance on top that he half-assed painted silver and then ONCE AGAIN!! Got out his Trusty BIC PEN and drew in a Mercury Emblem!!! The Foglamps are photocopied Pictures of Lights, The rear doors?? Dont open them unless you want your "Marauder" to be a Jeep!! I opened it up and it Fell off the Car!!!!! WTF????????. The Paint Sucks too. It looks good on the Hood and Trunk but some of the Doors look Like he put the Paintbrush in his Nose and filled it in! AWFUL!! The Pictures look SO Much better then the actual product!! Save your money!!!!!

ACK!
From the picture it looks like he didn't even clear coat them. Hope it's just a crappy pic. I would never settle for such a paint job on a car, real or fake.
Wait.

I think we ought to give credit to the guy for at least trying to put together a Marauder scale model. That's something that all of the big model companies have yet to do. Point of fact is that you probably won't ever be seeing MM models from Exoticar, Action models, or others. One guy tried to get them interested in building a genuine replica about 2 years ago and was shuffled off. I guess there's just not enough volume to make it worthwhile. Lookalikes are about as close as we are ever gonna get. :(
Sure there are flaws in the current workmanship. Heck, there flaws in the full sized version, too !!! Maybe working with the guy might improve his handiwork ... obviously he's putting lots of time into this hobby of his. Several years down the road ... these models will be collector's items too !!! :D

I Do give him a lot of credit to go ahead and invest the time to build a Marauder Die-cast However, Dont make a description that this is true to the real thing and that its worth a lot more then the selling price when in fact, its Not even close to a actual Marauder and I do not see where all the time and labor was put into this Die-cast. I have built many Models before and for a fraction of the cost, I could have done a much better replica then this sorry excuse. There are too many flaws for this to be worth $100, Especially when you can purchase the Crown Vic police interceptor that he transformed into a MM for only $20. Then strip the light bar, fill the holes, Paint it black with a can of Krylon, Put a plastic strip on the trunk and call it a wing, then use only a silver Paint marker and a Bic Pen to make the details of a Marauder. Then find Tires and Rims that are Way to wide for the car and glue them on. and not so well I may add, I had a tire off the car before I even opened the box. Its one thing to make a effort but its another if you are going to do it and command such a high price then make it worth it.

Wow that's brutal. I also bought a Marauder from him A SILVER ONE and actually was very close to my car. I have to give him credit too, no one stepped up to the plate to build those cars. You right its not 100% accurate, but very close to the real thing. anyhow that's my 2 cents. I'm with Bluerauder give this guy SOME credit.:D P.S. I don't want to step on any toes here (Blackened300a) but if you could have built it yourself why did you buy from this guy?

I bought mine From Ebay and the pictures I saw made the Car look Great and It impressed me. I was also taken in by his Sale pitch that a lot of time and effort went into this model and hes "Giving it away" at such a low price of $100. However, When I recieved it, I was quite disappointed with the purchase. I wanted to Complain but I took into consideration that he took the time and effort to make one. So I accepted it and moved on with life. I would have made one myself after seeing how simple it is to create but I figured this was a scaled down "Marauder".

I agree..Maybe if our car was used for some sort of fast car movie or show (sercret agent man)then it may get the recognigtion it deserves and more people would be more interested (young & old)in posters, MODELs and so forth..

Like i said before i hope i don't hurt anyone's feeling here, but the guy is not here to defend himself. Like i said my model turned out quite nice. I went to his feedback forum and didn't find any negative posts about the Marauders, and according to his description he has sold like 15 or 16 models. Hey Blackened300a did you ever leave a feedback , or sent him an email letting him know that you don't like your model?

Hey Blackened300a did you ever leave a feedback , or sent him an email letting him know that you don't like your model? As far as Ebay, I left him a positive feedback on the grounds that he did send it out right away and that he packaged it to prevent damage. However, In a Private E-mail I told him I wasn't satisfied with his work on this model and felt it was worth no more then $50 and even that was high. Well over a month since I sent that mail out, And NO RESPONSE! If I can figure out how to post pics, Ill show you all the flaws and then you tell me if you would be happy shelling out $100 for this.
