Florida Marauders - Let get registered

The Southern Super Heavyweight Shootout (cars 3800 lbs & heavier) at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia is scheduled for Saturday, November 5, 2005. I am putting together a list of those us from Florida that will be going. We are planning a caravan with the Florida Impala club up on Friday morning, November 4th, meeting in Wildwood by I-75/Florida Turnpike. Trip is approx 8 hours from Tampa to the track. Return trip Sunday morning, November 6th to head home. Fee is $65.00 for the driver and one guest. I know several of you told me that you were going. Please pm me so I can put together a list. This is a great event and we need to get as many registered as possible to make sure it happens. The group putting this event together have spent considerable time and effort. I am going to provide Marauder Race Team t-shirts for everyone (L - 2XL) that goes and registers with me (tell me your t-shirt size please on the pm). The host hotel (Hampton Inn) is where myself and several of our group are staying and is where the action is going to be (mention Impala club for a discount). There is a Tanger Outlet Mall close by as well as several restaurants for the other half if they don't want to go to the track..

Where we are the largest group here at MM.net let's show a serious representation of the Sunshine State Marauders at this event. Right now there are only three Marauders registered, one from Ga, TN and myself. Come on guys, we will have a blast.:banana2:

I am Barry Boffone, (shaijack on the mm net) I am trying to get 3 MM's to take the trip to the SSHS in Nov 5th. I will let you know more as I get the info. We are 3 MM's from the New Orleans area that hang together. One is a Rienhart and 1 has some performance add ons and mine is 100% stock. Let me know more on the races. We will be coming in on I-10.

I am trying to get the MM guys and gals to get together in a single club or gathering but I am getting alot of resistance. We want sunday get togethers sone car show showing as such. I did get 5 MM's together for a big car show and it was nice to see 4-black and 1-red in a line. They drew quite a crowd. Of course we had the "I had, a SS Impala and it was fast" I told him to shut up if he could not produce a SS on the spot. That his wife would look great in my MM. Well you can figure it almost ended in a fight but his wife was smiling a very big smile at me. Well thanks for the info and time.

Barry, I hope you can put things together. Love to see some cars from the Big Easy be represented. Also you might want to pass on the website ( http://www.sshs5.com )to the group (SS guys included) so they can see the information. If there is anyway I can help you, let me know.

OK guys, as of this morning the participants list shows 49 so far, only 6 of which are Marauders. :confused: MarauderTJA - Didn't you tell me you are going to bring 20 of them with you?

I'm not just blowing Impala smoke here - this is more than just an "Impala meet"; it is a "big car meet". Those that have attended before will back me up here. You won't have a better time or find more hospitality at an event left this year than at the Southern Super Heavy Shootout. For those that are on the fence, I am personally inviting you to come down and kick some (W)Impala butt! ;)

I know of at least 4 more Marauders that will be going plus both of my son-in-laws, one with a 94 MK III and the other with his Hemi Dodge Magnum. I hope that once the weather cools down more Marauders from Florida will consider going as well. I know a couple more Marauders from Georgia and two or more from Michigan have also indicated they will be going. I'll keep pushing the event from my end.
