View Full Version : My 3 + 7 second story

No it wasn't a full 10 seconds but two seperate events that happened simultaneously. I was headed to seaside and had my fiance, my friend, and my cousin in the car. I'm a large gentleman, my fiance is none too small either, my friend is normal sized, my cousin weighs 155 all muscle this kid is insane (different story for a different time). Anyway i will estimate there was close to about 1000 lbs worth of people in the car, add that to the hundered or so pounds of crap i have in the trunk. My car is loaded down to say the least. I get to the last light on 37 right at the bridge. Next to me is a 4 banger fox-body mustang. The driver and passenger are looking at me laughing. I'm sitting there thinking these idiots aren't that stupid. Light goes green, sure enough, the brothers moron go for it, i floor the pedal before leaving the intersection i had beat them, no questions about it, they knew they were done so they backed off when i hear a turbo's blow off. Right behind me is a VW GTI, he flies up next to me and we get even, on the bridge now, and he decides to go for it. There is absolutely 0 traffic on the bridge so i figure what the heck and romp it too. After a few seconds the GTI is long gone as well, now i'm doin about 70 in a 55 and starting to come up on traffic so in the interest of safety and sanity i call it a ball, no need to be stupid about this, GTI pulls up next and gives me a thumbs up, a few seconds later guess who gives me a ricer fly by flipping me off, that 4 banger mustang. All in all i'd say it was a good night, especially considering i won one of those HUGE stuffed animals, and on the way home i got to surprise 2 chicks in a Lightning. They messed with me for quite a while until they figured let's leave him behind at a stop light, they took off (don't think they were trying their hardest or else i would have been dusted, but i don't really know), looked out their rear window for me, then realized i was still next to them, we waved, they smiled then i hit the WAWA for some iced tea, good night, unfortunately won't be having many more of them with the way gas is going, but that's what memories are for i guess.:burnout:

The guy in the 4 cylinder Mustang is just out of touch. Nice kill on the GTI though. especially considering the car load that you had. I think the lady behind the wheel of that Lightning was either afraid of using all the HP under the hood, or simply underestimated Marauders. :)

The guy in the 4 cylinder Mustang is just out of touch.I agree this guy was a total idiot, hence the reason i couldn't have him bragging to his buddies about beating a Marauder
Nice kill on the GTI though. especially considering the car load that you had. Thank you I sincerely appreciate it
I think the lady behind the wheel of that Lightning was either afraid of using all the HP under the hood, or simply underestimated Marauders. :)
I think she simply underestimated me personally, like i'm just gonna leave this guy behind, only to find out she had to use more than she thought. Impressive kill on the Z06 as well too. See now that why i have to either juice or find a way to get an S/C as well.

LOL.....
Nice Kill(s)!! :banana2:
Some of those 2.3 Mustangs have an attitude because they are stuck in a DOG SLOW Mustang.
Either they couldn't afford the 5.0 V8 option or they couldn't afford the insurance rates.....
either way they are pi$$ed that they have to drive a performance image pony car with no cojones!
The only cure for a 2.3 Mustang is a 2.5 stroker with an Esslinger aluminum head and a Garrett GT30 Turbo......NOW YER TALKIN'!!!!!
One Bad A$$ 4 banger!

Impressive kill on the Z06 as well too. See now that's why i have to either juice or find a way to get an S/C as well.Yes, you have to find a way!! It's so great!!! As long as you can make some personal rules for yourself ahead of time as to which lines you will NEVER cross during the heat of the moment, then it's real cool driving a blown Marauder on the street. Even if you have a loud exhaust, the car is still stealth since everyone thinks your car is just made to sound quick, but it cannot possibly be very quick in their mind since it's only a "wanna-be cop car" and because it's such a big heavy tank. And then when you step on that go pedal, all their misconceptions are blown away, as well as their egos from being beaten. :D
The only cars on the street that are faster than a blown Marauder, are NOT being daily driven, therefore it's a rare event that you'll see them in any other places than at cruise nights, car shows, and/or dragstrips. My blown Marauder is daily driven, and it's king amonst the daily drivers.

All in all i'd say it was a good night, especially considering i won one of those HUGE stuffed animals The year was like 1988 - 1989 at the Flemington Fair(Flemington Raceway/Fairgrounds).
I had tried $OOOOOOOOOOO hard to win a stuffed animal for my date ..... but twas' not to be.
One of my wor$t inve$tments of all time ...
She broke up with me a few days later.
I've gotten better "returns" buying new cars & selling them 2 yrs later.

I wouldn't worry much about the GTI, it would have a serious break down before it could catch up to your car because we all know that VW's are quality products right? j/k
