Well darn, the one day i drive my wifes jeep to work instead of my MM, and i end up next to a MM at the lights after seeing him pass me on the Garden State Parkway.

Of course i was grining at the guy, but i wasn't driving my MM, so he probably thought i was just nuts.

What's strange is that tjhis was in Old Bridge, NJ, and his plates said:
MICHIGAN, MANUFACTURERS PLATES.....something like that???

what does it all mean :-)

I don't think he was delivering to a dealer, car certainly didn't look new, and since when are MM's made in Michigan ;-)

Was that anyone from here????

If it was made in Michigan, it is a very rare MM because the rest of them are made in Canada!

I don't beleive that Marauder was made in Mich. I was probably a company car that was based at FMC headquarters in Mich that was driven by an executive. IMHO. John

Which "begs" the following question that maybe one of you "insiders" can answer...

Specially made vehicles like the Marauder S55 for SEMA, the Supercharged ones from last years Woodward Cruise or the convertable Marauder shown last year...were those made at St. Thomas or Detroit?

And where would those cars be now? Driven by execs. etc.?

There are sure not out in the parking lot waiting for someone to buy them or to be shipped somewhere--you're right TAF--they are in use --somewhat like --incognito --right/ TAF?

Did it have computer equipment in front of the Passanger glove box If so than they were doing test from MPG to what the suspension,Chassie was experiancing, to how hard the engine was working to exhaust and so forth Seen 4 LS and a Focus doing the same on I77 2 years ago all the LS had this computer stuff and the Focus was the chase car as it had nothing.

Hi Eric: That car belongs fo Ford. That is one of the MM they use to travel around the country and train sales people at the dealerships. It will be sold after the training mission. Nothing special

I thought those cars routinely get sent to the crusher.

Yes Johnny, they'd have sold a few. That tudor sheetmetal also could have led to a tudor Hardtop version.

I have said all along, the only two thingsthat could make the car any better is a stick and a conv. top....
For me anyway.

Not sure how it works in Michigan, but in many other states, a MFG plate can be issued to any accessory manfacturer for use on test cars normally not titled, and I think Car and Driver has them too, for their long term test cars and stuff. That much I've seen parked here in Chicago. Just a thought...
