Any idea what this is?

Dead speaker or Sub or Amp?

Sounds like the amp is going bad. Unplug it and see what happens. If the sound is gone you have found it. Its possible that you blew the sub which created a short and took out the amp. Keep us posted.

If that is the case, I have a friend with a stock sub/amp in posession due to upgrade and/or John has an upgrade available and I can help you get it wired up.

Good luck.

Rich did you take any pictures of the MTX Thunderlink install? It would make a good replacement for him.

No, we were hustling to finish. 3dogknight could possibly take some photos. I did take one shot of the 'stand offs' we made. It's on my daughter's camera.

Well it is strange it worked fine again today.

I wonder if something is just not hooked up right.

I will have to wait for my back to recover, hurt it again last night tripping over some furniture in the dark, then I'll crawl into the trunk and see how it all hooks up.

BTW where are the rear speakers located in the Marauder?

I may have to do this Sony SACD upgrade sooner than I thought.

Any news on the Sony XAV-W1? pricing? I looked it up in Australia but the prices are unbelievable.
