Well, I did it again, entered my Black Beauty in a car show. This time it was in Anderson Indiana. There were over 500 cars there and guess what? NO MARAUDERS!(except mine)
I have to tell you, it does my heart good(and my ego) to have more people around my car than the classics. The comments ranged from SWEET to WTF is it. As usual, no one ha seen one before and i was asked numerous times where I had purchased it.
I find this amusing because I bought it in my home town of about 5,000 people and the show was in a town of over 70,000.
Maybe L/M decided not to spend the bucks on advertising because they knew that we owners would be more effective than TV. All I know is everyone who stopped to look at it were very envious :) I had one lady ask if it was like a recliner going down the road. I asked her if she had ever seen a recliner doing a 1/4 mile in 14 seconds. If any of you fellow owners get a chance to enter a car show,,do it you will be smiling for days. BTW I am waiting to hear if I won anything, I had to leave before the announced the winners. If I didn't win anything, it matters not, I got to show off my "baby" and cruise!:coolman:

I know how you feel---went to a show yesterday--about 200 beautiful cars and a great group of people. When I registered, I was told there was another MM there- couldn't find it ?? Of all the peaople that stopped by, only a few knew what it was !!!! I found the wives were very interested in the safety features of the car--of course there were the "other" car owners who came over to put it down---they were surprised when they got a good look at our pride and joy---I really didn't have any bad comments--just a lot of interest--met two MM owners that didn't know about MM.net--hope to see them show up soon---also, they promised to be at Marauderville in Sept---didn't win anything since I had driven the car 100 mile that day and I just pulled into the show on the way home. It was great to get to introduce the MM to people. I finally found the other MM--it belonged to one of the club judges and was parked in another lot--he should show up soon also . All in all, a great day.

Well, made another "cruise" show yesterday. The SVT group holds a cruise every 4th Sat. of the month. Had about 110 cars and I had the only MM. They put me in the "Muscle Car" category.I didn't stand a chance with 2003 Mach 1s and Cobras w/SC---but I had a lot of fun introducing the MM to a lot of people--I am still amazed at the "family" interest in the MM. I did win the 50/50--they wouldn't trade for a trophy. Think one of the wives is going to buy the silver used MM on a lot here--hope so. Can't wait for Marauderville, but will keep busy at local meetings--Long Live the Marauder !!!!!!!!!!
