And despite the fact that I know it's a Caddy, I was slightly disappointed with it. The acceleration is great, but it's too smooth for me. I need something that will put me back in my seat when I mash the gas. It handled excellently and stopped on a dime and boy was the interior nice! The sun visors they cheaped out on though, like off the shelf style. I enjoyed the $3,400 option 14 way recaro's, but who really needs 6 different ways to bolster yourself in or "thigh extender"? But boy did I feel like a million bucks driving it that whole 10 miles! After I left the dealership, I thought to myself, "wow, I can't wait to improve my MM to where it can hang with this car"! Besides, I already have 2 black 4-door cars, do I really need another? :D

Deja vu....

April 2004.

Logan.

Nuclear website fallout.

The rest is history.

As are the witness.

That's the plan, swap the Eaton from my Cobra once I get that 3.4 Whipple...or I could eventuall buy a CTS-V too.

I would bypass the Caddy, but thats simply because I am not fond of them. If you have the green do whatever you please. :burnout:

I actually like the lac vs the m5 or the e class amg. It's American that's all it matter. On that view I will buy the lac. But don't get rid off the marauder.

Oh no, I would never consider getting rid of the Marauder. The V is the fastest production sedan in the world though. I didn't feel it, but then again I didn't have enough highway or backwoods road to test it out. Here's the record setting run at Nurburgring...

I don't think an Eaton on a Marauder will be enough to hang with the CTS-V. It'll give it a run for the money though!

Weights are almost identical, so if you could get your power output up around the 556 hp then it'll certainly give the V driver sweats!

I think the 6 speed transmission is what makes it faster, it keeps the car in the power band... someone shoud do a 6 speed mod on their marauder!

It's been done. Someone needs to find a way to make it last.

It also depends on the gearing. My car would give it a run for its money on the 1320 but I can picture him gettin away really fast after that.

I just got back from test driving an SRT-8 300. It's $20,000 less...and it also has 131 fewer ponies. After that perspective, I think the caddy definitely feels faster and possibly worth an extra car. My dad retired from GM so I don't pay sticker regardless.

I drove the 2011 CTS-V coupe with a 6 speed manual about 3 weeks ago. One of the first 10 produced with the DIY tranny.

I was in love. A little too quiet as I like to hear my V8's but that can be fixed.:D

I wouldn't ever get rid of the Marauder but I could very easily see myself in one of those. Rumour is that they will make a V-series CTS wagon. Now THAT is the one I want!

Loren just swap that Eaton blower over to your Marauder ;)

Johns (jdennings002) setup is looking real nice!

The one I drove also had the auto manual. The expression on my girlfriend's face was priceless when the started it up and rolled it off the showroom floor. She said to me, "so what's what luxury performance sounds like". I agree it is a little too quiet for my liking but nothing a nice set of headers and mufflers couldn't fix. If my debt to income ratio were better, I would've pulled the trigger. Oh, and don't worry Brian...the Marauder will get the S/C treatment :)

A '69 Eldorado is the only Caddy I would ever be seen in...

I looked at those as well. The dealership I bought the Marauder at had a 06/07 for sale. I drove it, loved it ... saw the price and decided against it. I used the expression, I can't get three car seats in it!

Now if the CTS-V wagon comes out ... I will go back and look/buy?

The coupe I drove was the actual manual, not the paddle shifter auto thingy. I can honestly say that powertrain is amazing. I was expecting some drama with throttle tip-in or clutch feel with that kind of power output but it was smooth as glass. Very easily driveable daily.

I was actually kinda glad it had that transmission. After using my Cobra as a semi-daily I would NOT want to drive that car as a manual. Yet I wouldn't mind driving a Z06 as a daily? I dunno, maybe it's because I see the V as more of a family car that just happens to be luxurious and more family oriented?
