Never heard of the stuff. FWIW, Simple Green and water, plus regular cleaning intervals will do the job, no problem.

Rex, KREEN is an internal cleaner, like MMO or Sea Foam.
Cat, what is your reason for wanting to use Kreen? If the engine has been properly maintained and is in sound mechanical condition, it shouldn't need any additional cleaning chemicals.

The engine has just about 50,000 on it. She's a Driveway Princess and has been babied for the three years I've had her. I use M1 oil, ML-820S filters or better, premium gas, etc. The previous owner was meticulous, used all M1 fluids, etc. He used to post on here, actually.
This car doesn't get driven very much anymore, maybe 3,000 mi /yr or less, so I only do the PM once a year, in the spring. When the oil comes out of there, it doesn't have any miles on it, but it is a year old.
With the engine coming up on ten years in service, I'm planning on really going over it for some extra PM this year including the plugs, etc., and freshen everything up. Some of it is probably the same stuff that was on it when it left the factory.
With that in mind, plus the amount of time it spends parked these days, I thought a good flush might be in order.
I'd also appreciate any other ideas or advice you might have for the additional maintenance. Thanks

You're probably right about the engine flush, ty. I guess it's an old habit carrying over from carb / pushrod 302's
As far as maintenance history, the previous owner (PO) didn't drive the car much either, and was meticulous as hell - so much so that it was a selling point to me.
I can't speak for the original purchaser, but I don't think the guy I bought it from would have bought it in the first place if it was sketchy. He was that kind of guy.
The PO did a full transmission fluid replacement with M1 at about 40k, changed the filter and put in the deep pan w/ drain plug. I'll drain & replace whatever's in the pan when I do the oil.
I plan to get the 4.10's in this spring, so the gear oil will get done then.
The fuel filter is a good idea, ty. Anything else ?
I'm going to try detailing the engine bay, but i don't know . . . I guess I can put a plastic bag over the carb and the distributor . . .
