Are the MM engines more like Mach 1 setups or 01 Cobra?

I've read both. I'm leaning more towards the Mach 1 because the Mach auto's have the same trans and HP/TQ numbers. And also has a slightly lower redline/shift point 5800/5900 like our cars.

An 01 cobra engine you can spin to almost 7k stock....

Also anyone here spin these past 6500?

    Mach 1.

I spun mine up there on the dyno once but with it n/a the power drops off dramatically above 6200 so it's really useless.
Thanks to Darrin @ BC Automotive:
$1800 and it was worse than when he started!

Marauder and Mach I with auto trans engines are identical, except for the shaker scoop and intake. Mach I with manual tranny gets an 8 bolt steel forged crank and a 7K redline. I've been up over 6500 RPM, and didn't find much power after that. My power peaks at 6200, so I set my shift points to 6000. I'm happy with the results.
