    Which Eaton should install?

I am looking at eaton superchargers right now and I'm not sure which to go with. Should I buy a used one off a either a 99 and up lightning or the ones off the 03 and up cobras. What else will i need if I purchase a used eaton? and what is a good pully size to with? I would greatly appriciate any help on this

It is better and more cost effective to just get a Trilogy S/C if your looking at an Eaton. Too much fabrication has to be done to make it work correctly. The snout on the Lightning blower is to long and the TB intake is on the passenger side, ours is on the drivers. But to answer you question an Eaton 112

This same question was raised about two weeks ago and the answer is:
    Neither will fit.
The Eaton used by Trilogy has a specific drive snout length that is NOT the same as other Ford Eaton S/C applications.
Plus, you have to make all your OWN custom brackets, pulleys, etc.
Unless you really pride yourself on doing it "your own way"...I'd save the time, effort, aggravation and money and buy a Trilogy S/C System.

Buy the Eaton with the Trilogy Logo on the snout. With time out for grab-azz, pizza and a beer from garage door up to test drive = 7 hours of fun. Everything fits like if came from the factory and car drives smoother from idle to WOT and is fast as stink. The tune is safe and the experience with this kit is almost as old as the first of the latest edition of our cars. We have about 120 Marauders now with or soon to be with Trilogy Kits. The Company is the hugely supportive of its customers and although I am sure the MM.Net community is a small part of their business they are hugely supportive of us. They work with us and play with us. Just ask the lucky MCM folks. Just MHO. Dennis
GOD bless my friends, Paula, Cheese(Rex) and Alex and all those still with us.

What they said ^. It would've been nice if the '03-'04 Cobra setup would just bolt on, but sadly that's not the case. Not only would need to fabricate brackets, hoses, etc...you would still need to find someone to tune the car. Any of the 3 S/C kits already comes with the necessary programming to be a screamer.

Sully, I was JUST going to say that...

ELKO1, if you're hell-bent on DIY, contact Jeff (Effster) on this board. I believe he's the only one who's done it himself (with a Kenne-Bell twin-screw) and he can tell you exactly what's involved...he also owns his own machine shop, so that may have helped a little...

You will have to be very thrifty in your fab efforts to keep your costs below what the Trilogy Kit costs. Also, you have a lot of engineering to be done.
It's been tried by others on the board.....

The complexity of not using a well designed and affordable kit, is beginning to be overstated.

While it is true that it does not make a lot of sense to not take advantage of a Trilogy kit, what's missing is Elk01's investment in the base blower and what may come with it.

If he's getting all the take off stuff from the '03-'04 Cobra, this will indeed fit on the Marauder engine, and with some help, maybe under the hood. It's been done. Therefore...

If Elk01 is paying 4000 bucks for his start up stuff, stop right here and buy a T-Kit.

If he's paying 400 bucks, roll up your sleeves and start the fabrication.

Another important factor is the value of time. Research, fabrication, fitmet, down time of the vehicle, etc. Is it a daily driver or a second car project?

I thank everyone for their comments and their help on this matter. The trilogy kit is a little out of my price range right now, not to mention my wife would kill me for spending 6k. I guess there is chip and gears i can get. If I had 6K to spend, it would have to go my GMC Caballero first. Thanks again for all of the guidance
