    From 93 to 92

The last time I went to put gas in the Merc...I went to a local BP. Nothing new there BUT as I went to pump my gas I saw something odd...
I noticed that I saw a 92 octane sticker by the pump. I looked around to see if they ALL said that and they did...I went on getting my gas. I thought I had lost my short term memory. (Silversurfer remember when I told you about this???) As soon as I finished I went another gas station...a 7-11 I believe and there it was the 93 octane. Has anyone else seen this? Why is BP replacing 93 wit 92?

This change happened when gas was $4...If I am paying that much for a gallon I want whats owed!!! BP advertise this "invigorated" additive or some , so I dont want to be getting jipped all the way around.

BP (who bought and eliminated Amoco...) still has 93 octane.
I bought some 93 at a BP off Route 40 in Baltimore just before the O.C. cruise, 10 days ago.

BTW: Sunoco used to offer 94 octane until about 2 years ago, then they eliminated it...

I bought Shell in Champaign Il. the other day and it was 92 octane. I saw the difference but didn't notice any while driving.

I was in Bowie,MD and I shaw it to bro, my advice don't put that 92 in your Marauder because I accidently put 92 in my vehicle and had to get some octane boots cause of the Lidio tune I have.

Technically if you are running stock 91 is just fine. 89 is only two pionts lower...would I use it? NO.

If one is aftermarket tuned for specific, yes, it matters.

As far as BP in Ohio...still 93.
I don't put it in the Marauder.
I use Sunoco 94 or Speedway 100 because THAT is what I am tuned to use.

The Aviator gets 91 or 92 on the DR tune. Nothing less.
One point could matter. But the first time one detonates at WOT, may be the last.
