In my opinion the Motivos are definitely a step or two up from the KDWS'. I have driven a few members' cars who run the 555's and they handle well but being someone else's car I really never 'tested' the limits.

    The Motivos.

I'm not too thrilled with the Firestone's cornering limits. They slide pretty easy.

Damn, on closeout for $192? I never paid that much for one tire. The original tires were great handling, but only if you liked a bald center tread at 15K miles. I've gone to the 255/55 in a Yokohama and I love those. The extra half inch of height takes a bit of the sting out of the 4.10s now that gas is $STUPID/gallon.

The main reason I am switching to Nitto's is the wear problem. SO freaking annoying.......

This is what I put on the Marauder in a 235/55 front and a 255/55 rear. Handling is probably not 100% of what it would do with the KDWS, but it's very good. Ride and noise are better than the KDWS and the price was very good at Discount. They look great on the car too.

    BFG tires

I got OEM back tires from tire rack "Close out" last week. Their website still lists them. I like the tires, but do not get many miles out of them. Running 32psi rather than the 35 recommended did give lesswear in center. 21,000 and still thin tread left in center. Most stores in my area do not carry the size for our rear tires.

Good luck finding them. Plan ahead if possible.

I remember when I would buy them at America Tire and Costco. Only place I see now is Tire Rack. Funny, when I first posted this thread, rear tires were closeout at $184 a tire. Now they are like $192.

Looks like front original tires are discontinued now too. I thought that size was shared with other vehicles?

Well, lol, after finally getting through my last hoarded supply of BFGs, finally moving on to another brand of tire. Trying General Tire since they are made in USA. The BFGs were starting to have small cracks as they were getting near the end of their life. I'm sure I was the last or one of the last, lol.

The last set of BFG's I bought last year were made in Indonesia from a US design. They are NOT the same quality as the US made BFG's. I switched to Continental's. Similar tread pattern if that matters, smooth sidewall like the original BFG's, better treadwear than BFG's, quiet, speed rating options. Shopping around they were less than $200 each in November.
