    Differences

I keep seeing 300A, 300B, 300C in references to MM models. Mine is a 2004 300A. Please explain the differences (short version).

    Thanks

    The version numbers are:

'03 300A and 300B, due to mid production year changes.

    '04 300A

300C? No such animal in the Marauder line, but our brothers in Canada got their own special edition, the 300 eh?...

The 300As in 2003 have some more options such as seperate clock in the dash, map pockets on the front of the front seats, remote gas tank door release. There are other differences, but thats the quick way I remember to tell them apart.

Okay, let me see if I can sort this out:

2003 300A: Full size spare wheel, Remote fuel door release, Clock in dash, pockets on front of front seats, metal mesh grilles on rear speakers, automatic parking brake release.

2003 300B: Donut size spare wheel, Traction control, No remote fuel door release, no clock in dash, no pockets, no metal grilles, no automatic parking brake release.

2004 300A: Same as 2003 300B, including 4R75W transmission, MAV2 EEC, dual knock sensors and higher stall torque convertor.

Canadian '03 300"eh": Donut size spare, Traction control, remote fuel door release, clock in dash, pockets on front of front seats, metal mesh grilles on rear speakers, automatic parking brake release.

Canadian '04 300"eh": Same as above, including 4R75W transmission, MAV2 EEC, dual knock sensors and higher stall torque convertor.

I'm not 100% positive on the metal grilles, though. Do the 300Bs and Canadian '04s have them? Mary, any chance of making this info a sticky somewhere once it's all figured out? Also, does anybody have the date when they did the midyear switch in 2003?

04's also have a higher stall torque convertor. They stall at 2800 vrs. 2500 for 03's. If at all possible, go for an 04, then a 03 300 B. A models had built quality issues but the B's resolved most of them. I know the locking fuel doors are nice but I'd rather stick with my B model.

Note, I'm not the original owner. The original owner was a Civilian BSO that died of cancer, the wife was willing to part with the silver beauty for $19k. She had 32,500 miles on her when I got her. Now she's over 50k!

    I have a 2003 300B
I have all the stuff on an A except the full size spare, which I have since acquired. And I do have traction coltrol. So I do have a 300B, but I really have a 300A. Or I have a 300B with a Full size spare wheel, Remote fuel door release, Clock in dash, pockets on front of front seats, metal mesh grilles on rear speakers, automatic parking brake release, and Traction control.

Now I'm just confused instead of ignorant!
I hope that straightens it out for you....
