These go out all of the time.
    1. put your key in the ignition and turn it to the click right before the radio comes on.(this releases the brake lock on your shifter).
    2. push down your parking brake.
    3. bring your shifter all the way down to 1.(your brake shouldnt be needed because you have the key in the override position).
    4. pull the pod toward you. it comes out but u have to play with it a little.
    5. change the bulb and put it back
    6. REMEMBER TO RELEASE YOUR PARKING BRAKE AT THE END.

Bulb size is 168 but replace with 194 since they are a little brighter and tend to last longer.

Replace them with LED bulbs, they will last longer and give off little or no heat.

Be careful replacing the stock bulb with at hotter bulb. 194s are hotter than 158s or 168s and can cause problems with the plastic of the gauges.

I just replaced my gauge bulbs with white 194 LED bulbs. They are much cooler than the regular 158 or 168 bulbs, but ate brighter and are suppoed to last for a ridiculous amount of time.

LED put out almost no heat and use less electricity. That is why they are brighter and last longer than incandescent bulbs.

Good info on LED vs incandescent bulbs here:
