    I bought new NT-555's for the rear last November and asked that the distributor pick two relatively close in Mfg. date......got both manufactured 43rd week of 2009.......THEY GRIP LIKE CRAZY!!!

    Newer is much better and I wouldn't consider any over 2 years old!!

    Thanks Mike as I had not seen that but will check mine and my familys tires today.I was about to buy a new set.

    If you follow the time lines mentioned, it sounds like it was made in 2008.

    Why do threads always get tboned just because the topic was discussed before? Not all of us have been on the site forever. We are entitled to ask questions too without having to "look it up".

    This thread should be posted once in a while as a reminder to people. It may save a life.
