North Texas Marauders Meeting Information!

Hi Chad, Mike (SID210SA) has suggested another site, besides Centerville, be selected for our annual meet.

So....Waco, 1st Saturday Cruise seems to be made to order.

My vote is for WACO, June thru September.

Chad the link to the Corridor Crusiers is dead, can you confirm this event still exists. Search of internet only discloses years old events and they were on a Monday.

You know looking at the Texas Map, I-35 corridor from Waco to Killeen has three good possibilities for future GTG's. Waco, Temple and Killeen.

That's three years of rotating destinations. They are also central to the majority of our memberships, NTM and Alamo Area Marauders, including Me in the east and James in the west.

Let's make this happen. Contact any one you know that has a Marauder.

Year 2012 -Waco (that's my vote) 1st Saturday in August.

Hey pat, sorry about the dead link. I not the best with computers. This event still happens and is very popular around here. I've been puttin in the marauder in it 85% of the time. Its always been a great time and cover all aspects of car colture. You my just have to type in corridor cruziers waco, tx in your computers search bar. My apologies sir. I will give mike a call and see how this sits with him.

^^^^ Did that, still a dead site. But since you have been going there, can you post an address where the meet is held? The meet is on the first Saturday, right? And what is the entry fee?


OK, the new telephone number is 254-867-2472, point of contact is Mr. lynn McCrary. They still hold their monthly, 1st Saturday cruise night, at the Church of the Open Door on I-35 in Waco. I called this evening but went directly to voice mail.

Brad give him a call and see if they would be receptive to our club joining them on cruise night.

Had a nice conversation with Chad yesterday....sounds like there is lots to do around there.....kinda of shooting around ideas of what to do.....either stay in one location or travel from site to site with in town. I am down with that.

I would not recommend just cruising around town, attracts LEO's like bee's to honey. Waco is not a large town and depending on number of participants, tailgating, traffic lights, and temptation to display acceleration are items that may limit our welcome.

However, a cruise in the hill country is good. Pre-map out a route of about 1.5 to 2 hours with specific historic, scenic, or other significant destinations along the way. My 2 cents.

As far as the June dates, from 16th on I'm good. May I offer another suggestion, If we don't hook up with the Corridor Cruisers on 2nd June, (a Saturday) then doing our own GTG would be better on a Sunday, less traffic and all. POI's are usually open.
