He is technically correct about the power trains, the mustang gt of the same years had the same 2v motor, transmission, and torque converter, the gearing is slightly different 3.55 instead of the 3.27 and they do come with dual exhaust.

Looks like a diaper on the floor in the back. Used, of course. NICE
The customised headrests with dvd's are ugly the rest I like it
GOLD P74 INTERCEPTOR, A NEW PANTHER IN TOWN.
LSE's came with the buckets, floor shifter, air suspension, DUAL exhaust, 3:27 rear gears (3:55 wasn't used with the longer Marquis drive shaft, killed the top speed) and a better factory PCM tune than the "blue-hair" edition of the Marquis. It seems an awful lot of them were in the Arizona Beige (gold) color. I have seen 5 so far out west (all gold), including one my friend bought.
They were made in 2002 and carried over to 2003. Not sure how many were made in 04 up. All of the 2003's I saw had very early 2003 VINs being made in April/May/June. My friends was made in May 2003 making it a very early 2003 model and an LSE as well.
Having worked on his car quite a bit I can tell you it has a lot of indentical parts to MM laid out the same way underneath. Not the same engine, that part is same as a regular Marquis.
Bumpers and lights were all standard MGM parts. A few people have added the MM front bumper and converted the rear end to the CV tail lights and trunk panel. I like them stock looking.
And to drive one of these cars is really a treat. They do accelerate better and seem to handle just as good (or better) as a CVPI with a lot more comfort. As a daily driver that will make you feel (a little) like being in your MM, these cars are a lot of fun.
It was called a "5-passenger LSE" model as opposed to the 6-passenger bench seat Marquis.

LSE was not available at all in 2004, and then back for a short run in 2005. After that the LSE model was never seen again. Not exactly sure the cutover date between early and late build 2003's was but my Cv was a late build in june 2003, I think im only aware of one late 2003 build LSE, the rest ive seen were all early builds.

That very well could be a 1 of 1 car. Wish the pics still worked. I've been on CVN since 2005 and don't ever even remember that thread.
Ok, 1 other guy claimed there was one on a lot somewhere in Indiana, in that same thread. First it was gray then it was dark blue, but no pics to back it up. Either way, extremely rare package on a 2006 or newer

Start here, not sure what that crap is above but when I copied the e-mail it came also didn't want to delete it and everything disappear.
Saw this last month sent a response but no reply. That car has been list on DFW Craightslist a few times covering several months all the way back to last year when he had it for $5000. Below is the e-mail I sent bottom post first
My bad man I just saw a different ad explaining about the car that's its a LSE but $6500? that's Marauder price. There's 2 in DFW for $6000 & $6500

Subject: Checking out your Mercury Grand Marquis LSE
I was looking at your car and not sure if someone sold or told you that's a Marauder but its not. That's a Grand Marquis LSE with Marauder front and rear facsias and it certainly don't have 320 factory rear wheel horsepower. It's got the 2 valve engine from the factory unless its been changed out. Plus Marauders never came in that color. I'm sure I'll hear back that its real and all that but I've had 2 and been in MM.net(Mercury Marauder.net) for a few years which is a website forum for Marauder owners and a few Grand Marquis & Crown Vics. There have been several on there been discussed that's how I know as well as how Marauders were made that GM' & CV's do & don't have(steering wheel, chrome around the shifter, different seat design, door panels...
If you post the car for what it is it may sell faster especially to people that know the difference. What's your asking price?
