Swap the coil and plug from cylinder 5 (front-most on the driver's side) with any other one...see if the code follows.

Came back on cylinder 5? Sounds like a wiring issue...see if you can trace the wires from the coil to the PCM.

How come when I google PO335 for Ford and Crown Vics/Marauders etc etc, it comes up as a camshaft position sensor issue?

Because the OP has code P0355, not P0335.

Did you figure out what the problem is? I now have the same code, changed the coil and plug also, and still can't figure it out. I thought about the ECM, but you said, It wasn't that. I'm just curious if you've had any better luck. This didn't start till I had a car wash at Delta Sonic. They did an undercarriage spray, and I'm wondering if it messed up some wiring.

No I still havent found the problem, the car drives fine but when I put it in drive or reverse it tends to shake for about 30 sec and stop but it doesn't do it in park, neutral or when the a/c is on so now im thinking of a vacuum leak

Is your CEL still on? I finally got mine back, but I had multiple problems. Here's something you might want to look into. I had the P0355 code going into the shop. Mechanic says, he scanned it and got P0325, n P0326, which is the knock sensors. My Actron scanner didn't pick these up! He put new ones in, and it runs perfect now. Well, that and him fixing the other codes I had. Anyways, I asked about the P0355, and he said, It was a dummy code brought on because of the knock sensors. Hence why the new coil, and the new plug didn't work. I'm not sure if that's your problem. My car was running like crap!

The wires for cylinder #5 run back along the top of the engine to behind the left cam cover. Then down and to a big connector held together with a bolt in the center right under the power brake booster. From there it runs over the PCM connector between the brake booster and inner left fender. If it happens when putting it in gear, this rocks the engine slightly and may be moving the harness enough to cause an intermittant open or short.

Vislually inspect the harness along the engine and especially where it runs along the back driver's side of the engine. The bracket that holds the windshield wiper assembly in place has a sharp edge along with the area in the back of the head. The engine harness passes very close to these areas.

While the engine is running you can gently tug and shake on the harness from cyl 5 to connector and to the PCM and see if it causes the problem to occur. This may give you a starting point to check that are of the engine harness.
