Been thinking about new head unit with nav in my S B as long as steering wheel controls and 6 cd player will all still work. If I up grade I will install in my S B and put stock stuff into blackie. maybe LOL suggestions appreciated Gary, your speaker suggestion noted thanks
With any headunit upgrade whether it's the Escape unit or an aftermarket unit you will lose the ability to use the trunk CD changer.

The Escape unit has a 6 CD changer in the headunit and will work with the steering wheel controls. It's plug 'n' play.

Most aftermarket headunits will be able to play CD's / MP3's, use an SD or micro SD card, have an AUX jack, Ipod connection, Bluetooth or USB connections so your ability to access your music is almost limitless. You will need an interface to allow the headunit to interface with the steering wheel controls.

Would they be plug 'n' play in the rear? My understanding is that the rear speakers are larger. If so, and if Zack falls through, I may be interested. Thanks!

Ford factory size is 6x8 in the rear. The pioneers are 5x7/6x8. They are a drop in fit. There will be a few areas around the screw holes that will have a slight gap. It should be filled with dynamat or something similar for the "best" sound, or just ignore it. They will be better than factory even with the gap.

    Just let me know.

5x7's and 6x8's have the same mounting holes.... the 6x8 has a little bit more cone area to help out with low end

Almost every panther car has the same size speakers in all four locations, 5X7/6X8

I got four 6x8's, the fronts were a direct replacement, the rears needs some sheet metal surgery to fit.
