I have this kit available locally, but don't even know enough if it would fit my stock engine. It says it's for a 2v.

What is the best way to get up to speed on SC for the MM?

I've come to terms with this idea. There's no way in I'm ever going to be able to afford or would be willing to do any major performance mods to my current car. Selling and buying a MM that's already done is the most sensible solution these days. I'm gonna keep this option in mind myself if I don't buy another car this upcoming year.

Zack, I get your point, but... and I mean no offense... that thread is not really what I was hoping for. I get to my starting point on page 32 of 35:

don't know too much about the Eaton been a mm owner for only 6 months so im kinda new to understating wat it is and wats needed
It's the installation of an OEM Cobra supercharger onto a Marauder. Will add approx 150 hp. Will cost around $4, 500 for the parts.

I mean, all I know at this stage is I need more power and Trilogy (kit with instructions) is no longer available.

I'm spoiled from working on Corvettes where the forum just has so many owners and there is nothing that hasn't been done hundreds of times before. This MM is a mystery. So I read through all the Q&A about which part number pulley, belt, grind this, trim that which with zero knowledge is not all that helpful (at this stage).

I'll get there and don't mind the work, just thought I'd ask for some basic guidance from those that have done this the hard way.

If you're looking for step-by-step instruction on how to do an Eaton swap (like the kind provided with the Trilogy kit), you're SOL. Each installation is a little different depending on the exact parts used and their source.

The Trilogy installation manual (available here) may give you some idea of what's involved, just remember the bracketry will be different as will the throttle body positioning as the Trilogy Eaton is not identical to the OEM unit from a Cobra or a Terminator.

Thank you RF! Very helpful to identify the main components involved. By the way my MM is in storage on the Cape. Maybe in the spring I will be ready to do this.

Will do. I will be coming down sometime this winter to make sure the mice are keeping their distance. I surrounded it with traps but they will only get the first three (the blind ones - haha). When I do I will likely take it out for a spin. What town?

You're right I would have saved some, but mine was a pristine 4500. Mile car in August when I bought it. I think I'll keep it.

Tell me about your paint. Was it repainted or did you do something to the factory's you finish? Mine is unblemished but has polish marks in the clear coat.

Get it on jackstands if it isn't already to prevent flat spots on the tires and throw some Bounce dryer sheets on the ground, in the engine bay, anywhere mice are likely to go.

Gathering parts for an Eaton swap can be a lot of fun, especially when you have 2 or 3 packages arriving each week!
