    Where are the 2004's

I just did a Mercury web search for Marauders in inventory at 6 Minneapolis dealers and only found one car!!! How does Mercury expect to sell a car without dealer inventory? I want to get one this spring, when my current lease is up, but it'll be hard to do if there's no inventory.

Just another example of a good idea that the Mercury marketing people have thoroughly screwed up.

Kind of scary, when thinking of the scale. Makes one think that maybe it'd be a good idea to do some introspection and think about what each of us needs to do to build a solid community, analyze what it is we're all honestly looking for by belonging to this community.

I bought my silver MM the week after it arrived at the dealer. I've checked, and the dealer only keeps 1 black MM in inventory since October.

    2004 Marauders

IMO dealers are reluctent to order them for stock. Many dealers had 2003's in the inventory for more than one year. It appears the don't want to get burnt again and I can't blame them.

If Mercury might have done a better job marketing this vehicle, perhaps those vehicles would not have spent a year on the dealership lots. All the local dealerships have ordered at most a single Marauder, and they have all been sold. I really can't blame them since a dealership is in the buisness to make money..........

I agree that you should order one if you can't find any in stock anywhere. If you don't want to wait 4-8 weeks for a Marauder on order, your dealer may be able to get another Marauder from another dealer around the region or state from another Mercury dealer that might be desperate to unload their 04 Marauder...............

When I bought my 04 DTR, my local dealer had FOUR on his lot- 03 black on the front line of the used car lot, 03 black in showroom and an 04 silver and 04 red out front that had just arrived. ALL FOUR WERE GONE within a week of my purchase!!! To my salesmans credit-he was very knowledgeable about MMs and very clearly LIKED the car very much!!! Maybe dealer attitude affects how customers view these cars???
