    Hood Insulator

    Is anyone still making hood insulator pads for MM? Mine is a bit worn and time to replace.

    GM or CV will fit.

    Camotorsports.com but they are pricey with shipping. go to your ford dealer and have them get one for a Crown Vic (exactly the same) they are around $148. If you order thru tascaparts.com they are cheaper, but shipping kills it..cheaper thru ford dealer and no shipping. I got a new one last summer, have yet to put it on

    Mine was looking worn too, took it off spray painted it and now looks new. If you have rips or anything this will obviously not help.

    This+++++

    Dealer item.

    BUY ALL NEW PUSH CLIPS TO INSTALL TOO!

    You can talk them down some. I ordered two and got 2 different types. You will have to cut hole (rectangle) for underhood light. Suggest large clean table to set new on top of old, new sharpie, straight edge, and new razor knife or super sharp strong shears. Once opening cut, I used a crimper around the inside of rectangle edges, and large sharpie to black out the inner edge.

    It was an amazing transformation in under hood look.

    They are NOT exactly the same...Marauder is all by itself and they no longer have any. They will fit, but the hole is not there for the light and the mold is not exactly the same.

    Was wondering if that would work on these cars, used to do that with the old muscle cars from the 60s and 70's. Just mist it with a spray can - looked brand new.
