    Aluminium Sealant

Going to change out my rear end cover when I upgrade to 31 spline axles, spider gears, "S" spring and carbon clutches. Any recommendations for a sealer I can apply to the inside of the new aluminum cover? Obviously it will need to withstand oil and some heat.

    Clear Powdercoat or anodize.

For my money, I would clear powder coat it.

Clarification.... I'm looking for something to seal the aluminum, not to make a gasket.

    Wonder why??

If it's that porous I'd replace it since the strength cannot be all that great??

Por15 does not adhere well to anything other than rusty surfaces....from my own experience

Why would any company manufacture a quality piece of cast aluminum that requires sealing before use??

Sounds like you just got a bad one before Jim!!
