Grand Marquis at Martin this weekend!

I go to pick her up today. A couple of minor things to wrap up and then off to Martin on Saturday. I will show up before noon. Time to see what she will really do. Good sticky tires and the race tune with 110 octane in her!

Good luck John. Turn her loose, let her fly and, of course, be safe.

    Pit-Crew vehicle ( Goth 150 ) ...

    • 2009 Ford F-150 STX 4x4
    • 4.6 3v
    • 3.55 RAR ( open ).
    • stock engine and suspension except for the following mod's
      • rear lowered 2".
      • airbox snorkle removed.
    • track scale weight
      • 6025Lbs w/driver.
      • 5780Lbs w/o driver.
      • 5870Lbs w/driver - spare wheel and toolbox removed. *Race lap weight.
NOTE: Full tank of gas - 36Gal. *Could lose another 120+lbs by having only ½ tank. Would/should be good for -1/10Sec
    Made 3 passes.
    • drove around the water-box.
    • 4x2 - 2wheel drive - high.
    • AdvanceTrac -OFF- a.k.a. traction control.
    • Tow/Haul -ON- MEANING: O/D -OFF-
    • A/C / Defrost -OFF-
Best ¼ mile time was 16.2. *Worst was 16.3.

Best reaction time was .25. *I blame it on the drive-by-wire throttle body.

    Got a Base-Line.

17.1MPG for the 123.5 mile round-trip + 3laps. *Not too shabby considering round-trip was with cruise set @ 80MPH + the spirited track driving.

Joe, what was your 60' time? What horsepower is it rated at? Did they fix the sparkplug problem by 2009? What is your bed length?

How about a report on the Grand Monkey?

So let me see if I've got this right. You put more money in it to make it go faster, only to put more money in it when it breaks cause you're going faster?

Only factory 406 powered Marauder, and earliest built Marauder documented to still exist.
