Dielectric Grease on coils / boots

Does anyone here use dielectric grease when replacing your ignition coils or boots only? Just wondering. Thanks.

Yea, helps keep out the moister and easier removal. Just a thin layer inside the boot before plug? Thanks, just wanted to make sure.

Once you have a boot tear because you didn't use it, you'll know why it's recommended.

I use it religiously. Put a pea sized glob of it on the boot before I install it. Makes the connection somewhat waterproof and east to take off once the boots have been baking inside the head.

I also use it on any light bulb(s) in my vehicles or house.

I sprayed with silicone spray, but this sounds like a better idea, thanks.
