The stock cooler is in between the radiator, and ac condenser, you can just bypass it , and go directly to your aftermarket cooler if you dont want to bother with removing it.

Why not remove it to get rid of useless restriction to your condenser and radiator?

Not to mention weight reduction for racing???

I removed mines , but some members keep it to retain the use of the trans thermostat, im not a fan of running two coolers , i just got one big azz cooler with a fan , and a much better aftermarket trans thermostat to do the job.

Hmmm. I was advised to run my cooler in line with the oem one. Everything seems to be operating as desired, again according to my gauge.
When I replaced my radiator for good measure when I did my Eaton, I didn't take a close look at the trans cooler. See my revised post above.

    Thanks for the advice.

Roger that, just wasn't sure if that was your set up or just advice, but makes sense because not everyone is mechanically inclined to remove.

Always remember in the government you can never remove just add too.

It's also possible my trans guy removed the stock tstat when he saw my Improved Racing stat. The last guy I used for trans work is really sharp.

    Thanks.

In the picture I posted, see the cylinder with the white slotted cap? Is that where the stat is?

I didn't realize that there was an inline tstat either. I'm new to the marauders and domestic cars all together. I just purchased my marauder with an eaton swap in May of last year and still trying to learn about them and fix all the F@#K ups on it.

It may very well be stuck open, I've never attempted to open one up , mines is laying on the work bench .

If you removed it, what about the power steering cooling?
