Power RADAR Detector from Rearview Mirror Power Source?

    Hi -

Is there any information on how I could power a RADAR detector (V1) from the rearview mirror?

    Thanks again,

I wired my V1 into the constant 12V power at the manual dome light switch.
It works fine BUT, you need to remember to turn the V1 off when you get out of the car.
Evidently the voltage fluctuates when the dome lights come on and my V1 has made some unhappy noises from time to time.
That being said. It works fine for me that way, I just had to train myself on the power switch on the V1.
It's all BS until you can show me the time slip!

Run the wire underneath the headliner, down and behind the left "A" pillar trim and tap into a "hot in run" fuse. That is how I did mine. When I turn my MM on the V1 starts, turn off the car and the V1 shuts off.

    Thanks!

Is there an adapter for the fuse? Which one did you use?

    I appreciate the help.

I'd use one of these. Can be found at most FLAPS or ebay.
