    Cylinder head replacement

CEL p0306 came on the other day. replaced #6 coil and #8 (cracked boot) and plugs. CEL p0306 again. Took to dealer and was told low compression on #6 and #8. Was advised to replace with updated cylinder head. Also the idle is low and funky. No ticking. Any Thoughts? Im in NY. Anyone interested or recommend somewhere for a head install? please help?

Maybe some of the city guys know of somewhere closer. I use Dennis Francis auto in scotia Ny. They do alot of work on triple threats race marauders and know good people who do motor work and I trust them.

did they give you the compression numbers they found? if not, then I would be leary. As most dealers make me leary anyway. Ever price a set of 4vdohc heads?

We've been emailing back and forth, but I'll post here too.

Call Keith McDermott at Quality Automotive in West Nyack. Tell him MartyO from MO's Speed Shop told you to call. He knows me well.

I am in Bergen County, just over the NY/NJ border.

If you can attend, my Mustang Club is running a car show at Maggarino Ford on Rt 23,in Sussex, on April 30th and again on September 17th. I bring my Silver Birch, and two of the Mustangs.

Will post compression numbers soon. Ford recommends revised head part # 2c5z 6049 bab. Supposedly their last revision for cooling issue. I believe the 2005 aviator comes with that head. Also if i need a head gotta do cooling mod. Opinions?
