    Sachs shocks and struts?

Was poking about shock companies and noted Sachs(Super Touring line) has a listing for the Marauder. Same part #'s as the CVPI. If I recall the Marauder set up is the same or similar to the CVPI. Has anyone tried their shocks and struts? What are your thoughts vs. stock, or any of the other commonly used brands?

I have the Sachs super touring on the rear. (German made part) So I thought they were good quality. So far so good, had them on for 2 years+ now.

Any noticeable differences between the Tokico's? Good, bad or otherwise.

    Sachs shocks and struts?

I think they handle pretty well I haven't had any negative side effects. I do have the heinous billet control arms. also at the time I installed a complete front end and did raise the rear airbags just a bit so that it that would still have a decent rake.

i'm getting a little bit a bump steer in from the front now so I think my front shocks are toast - sachs in the rear are still good

I need front struts as well, Amazon has them for $96 each. P/N 030094

I may go with something that has the strut and spring already assembled, would make it easier for replacement.

RockAuto has FCS 1336343 for $69.79 each. I think you can still get an additional 5% off.

IIRC, the FCS assembly listed on RockAuto for the Marauder is the same they have listed for the CV (amongst others). I thought about that one, but wasn't sure how well it performed on a Marauder. As it is, I want new springs since the ones installed in my front have it all jacked up (the originals rusted and fractured requiring replacements, maybe 6-7 years ago).

    Who is FCS?

And, just for future note are the Marauder struts and shocks the same or very close to the CVPI?

Is there a source to find out what the official rates are for the shocks and struts? I've seen all sorts of ranges here over the years. Does the repair manual say anything?

CVPI springs are taller. Springs and shocks (among other parts) were unique to Marauders when they were built. Now they list Crown Vic parts for Marauders.

Was at first thinking the Sachs strut came with the spring as they go on and on on their website about saving the mechanic time during replacement. Looking at a few other websites as to were to buy them it looks like the strut comes w/o a spring. If it doe not come with a spring would there be any issue using the old one?
