I still would like to see a list of procedures that are followed for setting up a National Regional Meet. Otherwise I'll just pick a date, and whomever can come, then so be it.

Here's a list of criteria and responsibilities that were used for MV12 >>>>> http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forum...ad.php?t=89784

The planning team generally divides up the responsibilities to distribute the workload (e.g. hotel, check-in/registration, nametags, goodie bags, raffle prizes, T-Shirts, trophies, banquet, and daily itineraries/venues/events). This is probably as close to a set of "procedures" that you will see, since it tends to vary by event and how complex it becomes.

Best to have a conversation with someone who has orchestrated one of the major events.

I would love to swing down north below Boston then head west and hook up with some Marauders along the way and see how big a convoy we could get by the time we hit Vegas.

What a blast that would be. 3400 miles for me to Vegas, epic road trip.

    And this..

Yes, Charlie is correct with the requirements for past MVs... I've also been in touch with members who have planned previous MVs and I have a pretty good grasp of what all is entailed. I'm just waiting for the green light from the ownership.

03blackvegas, I still owe you a PM, my apologies. I'll be in touch soon

Get the local Chamber of Commerce involved. When our group did MV9 the local Chamber guy did a lot of the local legwork for us as we did not live in Harrisburg. They can get hotels bidding for your business and can help orchestrate many of the activities as they have relationships with the area businesses.

Next year we should make it nov4 to nov7 for sema. I was there in 02 I think befor the mm went on sale. I remember knowing that it would be there but could not find the mercury area. After about an hr of looking for it and crying I seen a big mercury sign in the back corner ran over and there it was. I drooled over it for an hr

SEMA is not a general public event, at least it didn't used to be. You need to be in the auto biz, although they used to have a pretty liberal attitude when it came to that.
