    NICE $60 exhaust swap

I picked up a set of Pypes M80 mufflers for $90 new at Summit. I paid my local shop $70 to remove my stockers, remove rear cats, and weld these bad boys in. I will now sell my two cats for $100. Total out of pocket, $60. The sound is wonderful. I can see my gas mileage go down due to more foot pressure on the pedal now.. Here's a quick amateur video :

I'm surprised a shop would remove the cats, even in areas where there isn't testing a lot of shops will only do cat-back modifications.
Glad you found one that would do it. Actually when you get used to it you will probably see an increase in mileage due to less restrictive exhaust system.

My exhaust shop is owned by a buddy, so he hooks me up. And it's funny you mentioned it, I went from around 13.5 mpg to 15.5 mpg. Loving it still.
