They are going to wear fast..not much legal tread on them anyway..5/32 and legal min. is 2/32.. plus they don't corner well due to soft sidewall meant for straight line hooking, yes they look good, and expensive..why not buy regular nitto 555 with sidewalls for cornering and 10/32 tread

Only reason is I do not plan on go drag racing any more. I am going to get some 295's but wanted to just wear these out. See the car only comes out about twice a month.

Because my car overpowers my 295's, to the point of WOT being dangerous....

You have to drive the car to overpower the tires.

I understand why..but he said 'daily driver" your's is far from that..and he mentions now that it will come out once or twice a month. that is not a daily driver. so drag radials it is. I can get my 295's to break free as well on regular nittos

I switched over to a Snow water/meth and now my 91 octane is 112 octane under boost. Love it.

I considered that, but I don't have to worry about equipment failure and KABOOM, expensive, yes, all I have to monitor is the wideband.

I've thought long & hard on this before getting my 295/45 NT555s. I originally planned on going with M&H drag radials, then changed my mind to the 555R dr since I heard it would last longer on the street. But they'll still wear out after about 10k miles, which isn't fantastic.

I ran my car this way for almost 10 years on the same Nitto's. No track passes, all street. I could melt them a few times a month, drive sane all weekend. Just not for the rain. The had gotten too dry from garage aging before the tread wear bars were gone.
