    CA/Heater fan inop

I replaced the control module for the fan in the A/C duct under the hood. The fan still does not come on. Everything works normally. The fan was intermittent before the module replacement. If I get on the freeway with air coming into the system from outside I get heat and cold through the vents floor and defroster. Any ideas?

At this point Im thinking the fan motor.

Try tapping the BCM that you just replaced.

Where did you get the BCM from?

The air not coming out of the vents means the o-rings in the EATC need to be replaced.

I can fix the EATC for you and supply a repaired BCM.

    PM me.

Some aftermarket parts aren't that good. Might want to try and return it for a new one.

Jim, I believe he said air does come from the vents, just that the fan isn't blowing.

You can jump the blower motor to make sure it's operating just unplug at the motor and put 12v to it

Update I went to the Relay that is in the box under the hood behind the battery. Removed the blower relay took a tooth brush to the contacts and replaced it. The blower has worked normally so far.

I'd replace the relay as the points burn in time......

My A/C clutch relay became intermittent for the same reason!!

Might be a good idea to replace all the relays in the power distribution box.

Update after chasing this for weeks I came up with the problem. The connecter for the Fan Motor was not completely plugged in.
When I started the can the motor did not come on I was able to lift the hood with out it starting running. Normally any bump would start the motor running. I pushed in on the motor plug it clicked and the motor started running. I pushed and pulled on the plug and wires and everything remained normal. Its been 5 days and the motor is working flawlessly.
