I currently use MOTHERS 08224 California Gold Showtime Instant Detailer to hit the occasional bird bomb/bug homicide when I travel ctrlraven, but the dust in the indoor garage where I park is to the point that if I know the Marauder has to be clean for presentation, she can't sit there for more than a day!

You can use it waterless or to wash normally.

Love this stuff. I always get complements on my shiny car after using it. It also seems to stay cleaner longer.

My car is a daily so i hit it with Maguires quik detailer and California car duster towel. I drive all my cars and have never been super anal or snobby about products and technique. However , i will not use detailer for black cars and i will not use turtle wax ice.

A foam gun is the best option….

Followed with a two bucket wash and rinse with a lambs wool mitt….

If that isn't available, just wait until you can do it right. Using a duster on a black car will damn near always induce some spider web scratches, it's just an impossible color to keep looking clean. People that own black vehicles that try and keep them perfect know exactly what I'm talking about….

A dirty silver still looks pretty good and a black car that was just detailed gets dusty after 30 minutes…..

I'm no fan of waterless car wash on any dark colored vehicle….

None of the products are designed to clean a thoroughly grimy car. But they are great for water spots, dust and areas the car wash can't reach.
