I just used it to make sure the old sanded surface was free of any contaminants. Worked well. Whatever you choose to get the job done. If there were any chemical reactions, I would have known immediately. It must be thoroughly evaporated before you start priming.

Instructions on the primer just say to wash with soap and water and then wipe down with "prep solvent" and a tack cloth.

Actually, the pictures don't do it justice, imho. The fender needs another light sand and polish for sure.

I ordered more basecoat and am pulling the driver's door to replace the pins and paint it. It has a lot of FOMOCO solvent blisters.

    Awesome job tbone

I have really enjoyed this thread.
I never thought a rattle can spray bomb could come out so fantastic.

At this rate, I challenge you to do the whole car.

Thanks for the kind words. They are pretty few and far between on the site lately.

Last few pics after the latest buff today. Nice to have my car back. Called and got it fully insured again.

Gotta adjust the latch down to align the hood better. The rubber bumper is not fixing it.

This is what I'm up against next on the driver's door and beyond. Solvent blisters.
