Would that be a steal or the seller made out like a bandit?

I have to believe it's a steal. I was at the Red Barn Spectacular at the Gilmore Car Museum yesterday (that's the biggest show in this area) and there was a 1963 Monterey S-55 2-door for sale there. It was OK, but needs work and is no where close to this Marauder. The asking price was $12,500. I've seen similar cars (Marauders and Montereys) in the 12-15K range, so I think this particular car could have easily brought 4-6K more. Maybe not. If I had the play money I would have eagerly given $12,000 for it. Perhaps we will see it for sale again soon.

I love the lines on those cars. Not a Mercury, but my Uncle had a 63 1/2 Ford Galaxie back in the day.
