    Header Panel, SB Preferred

I broke it. Third car back in left turn lane, light turns green, everybody takes off, first car in each lane gets through then an oncoming idiot barrels through. Car in front of me stops but I didn't stop in time. I have spares of everything I need, already painted and ready to go, except the header panel.

I believe it's the same as the '03-'05 Marquis panel. Can anyone confirm?

03, 04, 05 call for part - 3W3Z-8190-AA (Marauder and Grand Marquis the same)

    06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11 call for part - 6W3Z-8190-A

Anyone have a cross reference to see if the two stock numbers are interchangeable.

All stock. Big brakes wouldn't have made a difference. Reflexes of a 20-year old might have helped.

First stop will be the junkyard to look for a SB GM. Trying to avoid a trip to the paint and body shop.

+1 on going to the junkyard first. Since it is the same part as the GM, you may have some luck with the same paint color as well.

can try car-part.com as well for your area and areas of friends/family/members. I searched my area, no SB ones popped up. They are kinda pricey compared to aftermarket but I hear aftermarket fit poor. Hope you find one

Good luck finding one, needle in a hay stack to find one same color and close to you

I went through looking for a header panel this past summer, someone here was kind enough to find my local cv.net guys and one of them pulled it from a yard 175 miles away from me. There were zero header panels to be found local to me, glad he found it for me

Yes 03-05 MGM ONLY fit our cars, same exact part

You may end up buying a whole car on CL for 400.00 with a good panel and part the car out

The junk yard ones are always busted up from some idiot not knowing how to remove it
    The twins2.3 whipple/aluminatorVortech V-2 lots of goodies

From my personal experience those reproductions do not fit worth a darn

I'd rather have a 400k taxi oem unit

Just what I've dealt with. Sounds like granddaddy is gonna NBA sell his off a wrecked car

Go to a local junk and have them post on junk yards hotline so all junk yards will see what you want.
