    X or H-pipe?

I will be using the ADTR Stage 2 blower.

Which provides better air flow, x-pipe or H-pipe?

    Which brand/model do you recommend?

It's personal preference, xpipe sounds more raspy, h pipe has a little deeper tone. not like pushrod v8 tone. Mod motors don't really have that rumble unless cammed. Any decent custom exhaust builder can fab a x or h pipe. they are all pretty much the same no secrets to their design.unless you want it muffled

Some say x pipe has a few more ponies. it is very negligible ,maybe in a short exhaust system mustang, but in a long boat marauder.

forgot to add, most say an x pipe flows a little better

That was pretty much all the info out there. It really is all about personal preference. H-pipes sound deeper, X-pipes have more of a scream. I went X & regret nothing.

X-pipe can make more peak HP, but H-pipe will have a peak at lower RPM, where most street cars need it, in addition to having a slightly lower tone.

Grand Muffler did an X pipe on mine

Grand Muffler made me an X-Pipe with Magnaflow 18's and it sounded like two Hondas with FART CANS side by side......HORRIBLE!!

Went back and Brian fabricated an H-Pipe and it sounds MUCH BETTER with GREAT DEEP RUMBLE!!

Sounds as much like a BIG push rod motor as a little 4.6 can IMHO!!

Power difference is negligible so it's all about sound!!
    No Marauder

I went with an x pipe and magnaflows on my 06 gmq. I like the look of x pipes. Mine has a deep tone. A lot depends on how the x or h is made and the distance from the engine. Either way you won't notice a power difference on the street.

I've got Black Widow Venoms with an X-pipe, and it sounds like..... a deep scream? I'm not sure how to describe it other than epic.

Yep...... I've heard this car, it sounds like it has a lot "more" than it really does, I expected a big bore motor, not a stock 2v 4.6...
