    Trilogy question

I have another Trilogy question, who owns a Marauder with a Trilogy ( or Vortech) and mostly stock motor with the most miles with no problems from the Supercharger?

I think Marauderjack has over 255,000 with a procharger, but it wasn't put on until around 130,000 if I remember correctly.

Actually my ProCharger was installed at 84K miles and now the car has 256K miles on it!!

My OEM motor has been through 3 ProCharger head units in 172K miles.....they usually require rebuild or replace at around 60K miles!!

The motor is original and I have rebuilt the trans and rear.....both at around 170K miles!!
    No Marauder

What happens that you need to rebuild or replace? Seals leaking, bearing noise?
Wondering because mine is also daily driven and has 29,000 miles on the supercharger.

It's just a Magnuson gen 5 M112. ANYBODY that rebuilds blowers can handle it and will definitely carry parts in stock. One of the cheapest to rebuild I'm quite sure. Mine had 75,000 with the last 10,000 being high boosted miles and ran fine but I highly recommended to the new owner to have it rebuilt... They are normally good for easily over a hundo.

Horrible bearing noise and metal on the magnetic drain plug!!

They ALL leak just enough to be messy but.....they ALL work GOOD!!

There used to be a self rebuild kit on the I-net put PC put an end to that!!

Rebuild is $1500++ and new P1SC head is $2500 or more now?? On 2 rebuilds from PC they both leaked a little....less than 1/2 ounce in 5K miles but messy just the same!!

Yikes! That's a lot of bucks for 4 bearings and a seal. Had an early one back in the 90's had it off the car for a week or two and a Dirt Dauber built a nest up in the oil line. Didn't know it until I took it apart for being very loud. Got new bearings from an electric motor shop. $147 for all 4. Gears were still good.

My D1SC cost ~$700 from ATI to correct slight leak in front seal. Tech said they replace EVERY seal, bolt and bearing regardless during a refresh, and charge extra if damaged parts are found.

I think their basic rebuild charge a few years back was $1200 and up from there......perhaps they have gotten RELIGION (read: competition)??

This head unit has only 35K on it since I don't drive it as much as I used to!!

    BTW.....sorry we've derailed this thread!!
