How would this work? I thought they were the same, the mechanic says its slightly different, due to the hard task of finding a Marauder engine replacement, its the best options. What say yous?

I am partial to the rebuild the original engine option. Any desired enhancements can be applied at that time. Of course that presumes simple wear, and not a catastrophic event that let sunshine into the block.

An aviator engine requires swapping the timing cover, oil pan and intake, but is identical.....and usually $2000 cheaper.

Mach1 alternator is in the same location as MM. You must be thinking of a Terminator.
AFAIK the automatic Mach1 is almost a direct swap. upper intake is wrong but everything else is the same IIRC.

If you are doing this from an Aviator, Zack knows exactly what to do. He did mine.

The Mach 1 engine, if it's from an auto trans car, is the same. There are a few externals that are different like exh manifolds, intake lid, egr crap and stuff but all of that is easily swapped. The manual trans engine has an 8 bolt cranks and therefore requires a new flex plate.
