    Oil Gauge Sensor Part#?

    Hey,

Does anyone have the part # for the autometer oil sensor and where to buy it from? Some mysterious way mine broke off. I know for a fact the oil sensor autozone sales isn't the right one.

And yes its the real gauge

    Thanks

Do a google search for "autometer 2242". Many places have them for sale.

I installed the sensor...I guess. The meter is still reading 100psi and doesnt move. Maybe i installed it wrong, right now its connected to the engine with nothing connected to the opposite end where the nut and threads are.

    Dude....

    Are you serious?

How do you think the gauge will work without a connection to the sending unit?

OK, looks like the right one.

It's screwed into the port and a wire gets connected to the terminal on the top.

Yes, the sending unit screws into the engine block and the terminal on the sending unit goes back to the guage

You should be able to find the ring connector pretty easy. It can't go far because the wrapped sensor wiring is attached to the block on their way up the side.
