"The weather forecast is good, so we anticipate a big turnout. You'll recall that last year we only had around 110 cars, so space was not an issue. We had 200 the year before, and we expect between 200 & 250 this year. It is going to be busy, and group parking will be tough. We have the whole top lot again, and we have secured space in the lower lot as well.

When you know for sure (sometime Saturday morning) how many cars are in your group, give me a call at 704-796-7380. I'll get the word to our parking crew. No guarantees of course, but as Buster says, we will do our best!"

We're looking at 6 to 8 cars, so my guess is they'll work on getting us set up with reserved spaces, but not sure they'll be shaded. (IIRC, it's pretty much a wide open parking lot).

I can bring my 12' x 12' canopy we can put up for shade, if need be.

Maybe what we should do is all show up directly at the show and get our cars where we want them--then send someone out for some breakfast goodies or just walk to it nearby--if possible----just thinking

We're still going to be directed to parking areas, so is the plan to try and get there and secure shaded parking, or make sure we get a group parking spot?

Chances of the former are pretty slim, IIRC, there's like one area right next to the registration tents that is along a tree line.

The latter's pretty well set already, I've told Buster we need 6 to 8 spots in a group.

Ya'lls call. I'm planning to bring my canopy, so we'll have shade no matter where we park.

They've asked us to try and show up as a group, if you'd prefer that we all show up early, I guess that's what we'll do.

With that said, what's the new game plan as far as rendezvous location and time?

I say we arrive as a group...better to be hot & miserable and together vs being hot & miserable and some here, some there. I don't remember there being any trees except where the registration tents were. I'll be wearing a halter-top and mini-skirt w/thong, so I'll be dressed for the weather.

Maybe you can buy a couple trees from a nearby nursery and put 'em next to your car, slickster...

Skipping a breakfast meeting to get there early is no prob with me...I usually don't eat breakfast, just drink 5 or 6 cups of coffee in the morning. Just let me know what time I need to be at the hotel that morning so I don't miss the convoy up 77.

OK--I like the idea of convoying overc from the Hotel-- to 77 and then up to Dennies----I think we can do that and eat and then go as a group --heck --what time does the place open for cars to pull into the show anyway---?? we should be able to do all that and still enter as a group---which is best as said^^^^^

What were those times again????--What y'll think?

^^^^^ That's my recollection, too, and the chances of us getting parking under them is prolly gonna be pretty slim. (Don't forget, the FOAC folks will be arriving before ANY of us, and my guess is under the trees is where they'll park).

Anyway, what's the plan? If we're not going to meet at Denny's at 8:30, where and when? Russ and I will be driving up from his place, so we've got to put an hour+ lead time into whatever you guys decide.

Not sure, I know there are a couple of fast food places nearby (Mickey D's, etc). We can meet up there or wherever, but suggest we plan on a marshalling spot once we get to Mooresville in the event the convoy gets split up enroute from the hotel (which is probable).

I'm all for rolling in around 9:00. Suggest we all shoot for arriving at Denny's around 8:00, we can grab a quick breakfast, get the cars lined up and head out between 8:45 and 9:00. I'm thinking if we get to Mooresville Ford much before 9:00, it'll be one of those "hurry up an wait" deals as it'll prolly take them at least a half-hour or so for them to get everything organized and people in place to direct traffic, spot and park cars, etc.

They are expecting us and will put us all together if we roll in at the same time, so that should be our primary focus (getting everyone together and then arriving at the BOC as a group).

I'll be leaving Georgia about 1pm on Friday and I figure about a 4 hour drive to the Hotel. Shall we say meet at the Hotel about 7p and we can head to bikini paradise across the street?

As for Saturday morning, just tell me when and where to meet and I'll be there.

Can't wait fellas for another Marauder get together

Bikini's will be Saturday night, (post BOC).

We'd planned to do TK on Friday night (pre-BOC), as it is enroute for you on the way up to the hotel. If we wanna do this, what say we plan on meeting up at the Kilt around 6:00 to 6:30-ish? (if anyone shows up early they'll prolly be able to find something to keep them occupied...).

Another alternative for Friday evening is T n' T at ZMax:

    http://www.charlottemotorspeedway.co...e/dragandbrag/
    Gates open at 5:00 p.m.

I'm flexible, just looking forward to hanging out with the gang, up to youse guys what we wanna do on Friday evening.

Lets all meet at the Kilt at 6PM'ish on Friday ---then take it from there--probably have Sat. at Denneys at 7Am so we can not rush ---and then all convoy down the block to the show...Fri nite we can decide time from Hotel for those there convoying over to Denny's as to when and how many---
