    Thumbs up I'm in Cam-Land

Well today we arrived in Richmond Va., just a little while ago. My first time to visit this area.
I can see how much fun it must be to toodle through these beautiful states.
Illinois has very few areas that are picturesque like here.
Unfortunatly the Marauder stayed home due to repairs and we needed a van to haul stuff.

My baby graduated from U of Richmond with high honors.
Mrs, Bradley G , Gramm Gramm and I are Here to see her graduate and move her back to chi-Town.

Congrats to the new graduate and the High Honors recipient.

Actually, you are about 75 miles south of the southernmost part of the CAM area in Virginia. We haven't drawn many people south of Prince William or Stafford County in Virginia in the 8 years that I have been associated with CAM. CBT and shawn.criswell drove up once from the Virginia Beach area years ago; but that has been about 4 years ago.

I am about 90 miles north of you. We don't do much "toodling" on the highways of Northern Virginia .... mostly we do alot of "idleing". Took me 90 minutes to make the 20 mile trip home from work tonight. What a screwed up commute. VDOT is full of idiots who know absolutely nothing about traffic flow or signal synchronization.

Southern Illinois and areas along the Mississippi are extremely beautiful and rugged.

You drove right by me on I-95. I live just off Exit 160 about 25 miles south of DC. Traffic on I-95 is usually bad ...... Fridays are the worst going southbound. Northbound on Sundays ain't no picnic either.

Take I-64 west and then I-81 North through the Shenandoah Valley if you want to see "really nice". Don't know if your schedule allows; but a ride on the Skyline Drive is quite a scenic trip.

You may want to consider taking that way back on the home trip to avoid the DC Metro area. I-64W to I-81N to I-70w (or I-64W to I-77N to I-70W) will be much more scenic, avoid the hassles of the DC Metro and Beltway, and add only about 40 miles to your trip, I think.
