Ask yourself these questions do you plan on modding the G8, if no stay with Marauder, if your answer is yes, they can take a lot more abuse with stock parts than our cars can and it's a lot easier to make that car faster and a whole lot cheaper in my eyes. Plus the car has loads of aftermarket parts and go fast goods unlike ours. And the best part to me is others have figured out how to bolt on a 1.9 tvs off of the cts v, just like we do with an eaton
If it's cheap and reliable it isn't fast

Probably get rid of the DOD and put a blower on it. I might also wait and check out the new srt charger, not the hellcat.

I think it might be worth it, if and only if it were a manual GXP with twin turbos.

Driven a couple G8s, and as a starting point it's objectively a much better car than the Marauder. The interior is as nice, probably nicer. The motor in stock form is better. The suspension is also much better. The steering is tighter, the car in general is tighter actually. But then I do tend to feel like our steering is over assisted, and and our steering wheels are terrrrible.

Now with the trilogy, the Marauder might be a little faster, but if you'd be putting a blower on the G8 I think it's a no brainer. Marauders are cool enough cars, but if you also find the G8 interesting It's probably a better over all package.

If it matters, the GM was less durable in extreme/LE service. IIRC, the front control arms proved to be kinda fragile.

Probably going to first put the stock marauder wheels back on the car, maybe sway bars to hopefully help the handling and drive it a few months. At the moment, no G8 GT's around that look worth it. Might even look into a SRT8 charger.

Addco front and rear sway bars, Metco Watts link and Metco upper and lower rear control arms are a MUST for the MM if you want it to handle better.

I am fortunate enough to have a G8 GXP and a Marauder. I bought the Marauder to keep the miles off the G8. Turns out I own a 1 of 77 m6 G8s produced. the black beast partially fulfills my desire to drive the Holden speed demon. They are both nice they both have american made build quality. The G may be a little better quality wise. If u cant have both, do not bother with G8 GT. Spend the $ to get a G8 GXP. Or keep the Marauder.

    Perfect response.
I lust after something newer, and lean toward the R/T or SRT/8 Charger.
Being a Pontiac man before Marauder, the G8 was on my list.
I've seen enough G8 and 2004+ GTO to know the looks don't 'WOW' me, and the gas cap is on the wrong side. I swore I'd never own another car with a passenger side gas filler.

We're in the same boat. My friend just lost his 2011 RT thanks to his dumbass sister taking his key while he was at work and ended up rear ending somebody and caused over ten grand in damage. He's looking at a new RT or 12-14' SRT and I refuse to go to the dealer with him. His salesman would luck up with a 2 for 1 deal if I go there smh. The ONE and Only thing I hate about the G8 and CTS-V is the pass side fuel filler. WTH that should've been fixed on all LHD models.
