This one comes with the plastic push rivets...I got one from american muscle with the metal fastening hardware but thats just my preference. Good deal on it tho!

How was your's shipped? Was it folded in half?

If so, did the crease disappear?

I'm interested but hesitant for 2 reasons:

    1. Shipping due to folding it and having a crease.
    2. Plastic push pins/rivets. I think mounting nuts/bolts would be stronger but then again a PIA for install.

    So, plastic vs. metal rivets/connectors......

    Any opinions?

I think that I understand that the plastic won't rip the bumper (plastic will go first)?

    Thanks,

Most likely it will be folded for shipping, but a few hours out in the sun....or a heat gun will fix that.

I'd rather have fragile plastic clips that shear off and break before my Marauder's front valance gets ruined!

Please let us know regarding the install and if the crease disappears with being out in the sun or using a heat gun.

If it works out to your liking with the above steps you stated and there is no crease, I will not hesitate to order & do this mod.

    Thanks and Aloha!

A pic with the front spoiler it is fastened with self tapping stainless screws with flat washers.I had mine shipped without being folded.I was told the crease does not come out easily.

    Bummer!
Wednesday I bought one on sale from another Mustang Website for $75.

I like the idea of the plastic rivets. Where can I get those from?
Does anyone have a picture of what they look like?
    Thanks.

    ****EDIT.
Nevermind. Should have looked through the other sites listing.

I also installed one of these front spoilers on my '04 DTR. Mine was shipped unfolded and so no problem there. I used self-tapping stainless screws on mine...very easy install...I put mine up on cardboard boxes to hold it while I was mounting it...oh, and be sure the distance at the ends of both sides is the same...if it does not quite match up on both sides of the bumper cover parts.
I was also concerned about covering up the air bag sensors on the underneath side of the bumper cover part...and so I just cut out a couple of slot/circles where those sensors are mounted.
That might not be necessary...someone else might know for sure but I just thought I would be safe about that...thus the cutouts...they are on the top of the spoiler and do not show once it is mounted.
