    Remove Power Point from Console...

I really don't like the space lost with the big box that holds the power point inside the console... so I removed it and relocated the socket to the front face of the console... I patched the openings in the bottom and side (left by removal of the power point box) with plastic I cut from and old battery box...I pop rivited them into place. I added a little carpet and now I still have the power point, but I also have a better space inside...
Here are some photographes that might explane the process... I had to cut a 1 1/2" section out of the steel brace in front of the console, but the bracket is so strong it will not be missed...

Cool idea! If this had come around when I tore out my interior for Dynamat, I would have done this too. Thanks!

takes a whopping 10 seconds if you are the slowest man on earth to pull the center console.

I added a power point to the rear of the center console for rear seat use.

Why not add a power point to the outside of the console instead of the inside?
