    Front Wheel Bearing Replacement

So I made a previous post about a humming noise in my car. Figured out it was likely the passenger front wheel bearing and pulling it apart makes me 100% sure that this was the problem. The bearing sounds terrible.

    Heres where I got today:

I haven't gotten new bearings yet so I couldn't go any further. I plan on getting them from NAPA tomorrow.

Should I wire brush the mating surface and hole for the bearing? Grease needed?

Got the new Timken bearings last night and got them installed today, also painted my calipers black since the gray and rust look was not my cup of tea. Car rolls nice and quiet, no noise at all anymore!

Local shop wanted $717 to do this job. Cost me about $240 myself. Another reason I do all my own work if possible!

99% of the time I do my own work. BUT I have a 79 Trans Am project and a 68 GTO that is a father son project so sometimes it seems like time is worth more than money, but that quote was rediculous!
